The market town of Kendal, regarded by many as the "Gateway to the Lakes" is a town steeped in history and tradition. The Lake District itself has provided much inspiration to artists, poets and writers through the centuries.

Our roots can be traced back to the early 19th century with auctions originally held in the town centre market hall (now Westmorland shopping centre) before moving to the auction mart on Appleby Road in the 1980's.

All auctions are now held in the purpose designed state of the art saleroom just round the corner on Sandylands Road, complete with all the comforts of a retail environment, including a large screen displaying lots up for auction, fitted carpets and central heating

Our valuers are happy to call and assess items for auction, our immediate catchment area covering Cumbria, North Lancashire and The Yorkshire Dales, although items are regularly consigned from and sent to customers all over the world

All sales are catalogued with both forthcoming auctions and past results on line

The office is open Monday - Friday from 9.30 - 4.30, however if you are delivering items to us for valuation or sale you will need to make an appointment. Viewing times for sales is available on the sale information page. We are also open some weekends and evenings, again by arrangement
